Specificially, I have the 2373L1U.
I set the DPI to Large Size (120DPI). And I have set the Appearance > Advance, the Item Menu's font to Times New Roman, size 10, and Bold. And the Menu items' lettering looks uneven -- i.e. there are some noticeable white spots in the letters (a character would be part black and part white). If I uncheck the Bold attribute, then the color on the lettering is fine. It only happens when Bold attribute is applied. Other fonts have the same problem when set to Bold.
Also, I noticed the "Window Text" in the same dialogbox is not sharp; and also has the problem of light patches -- and that item has no setting for font.
Would someone with a 15" XGA try that and tell me whether it is the same with your display with the Bold fonts; and the "Window Text" appearance. Is this a systemic problem with 15" XGA? Or is it just my LCD?
I would also appreciate the folks with 15" and higher resolutions test out the same LCD settings above and tell me whether the Bold attribute in the Menu item has the same problem.
TIA
