760cd salvage

Three years ago I managed to not have my thinkpad protected from a lightning strike to the phone system. The good news was the hard drive and cd drive survived fine and worked in my 755cd backup machine, I quickly bought another 760cd off ebay.
Question is what other parts might still work? When I hook up the wall adapter it is stone dead. Today I removed the built in modem and its still dead. I don't have a good battery to test things that way.

If your computer stopped working after the lightning strom, the first two components I'd assume to be bad are the DC board and the system board.
