365XD Numeric Keypad Activation

#1 Post by Jadag » Sun Jun 26, 2005 6:11 pm

I am partly disabled and someone kindly donated a Thinkpad to me so that I can communicate with the outside world. Unfortunately I do not have a "User's Guide" and have been unable to download one anywhere.

Can anyone tell me how to activate the "numerical keypad" keys which are on the alpha keys JKL: UIOP and top-line numeric keys 7890.

I have an IBM TP 365XD with 1gb hard drive and 24 Mg RAM running Windows 98SE and with a PCMCIA Modem (28.8 kb)

Thanks

Yeah, it's done by pressing Fn + Scroll Lock at the same time. Afterwards, to turn NumLock off, repeat the same process.

Tried that. Doesn't work. Could there be some setting somewhere that disables the the NumLk key?

Not that I know of. Are you sure you are holding FN as you hit ScrLck?

Actually, it's Shift+NumLk. Note that the letters "NumLk" are not blue.

I have it. If you PM me with your e-mail address, I will try to upload it to you. It is a 7 meg Acrobat file, and I only have dial-up which sometimes fails on an upload of this size.
