I'm guessing you're based in North America? We don't get anything like that here in Europe as to be frank, IBM do not treat customers outside North America with much respect. Things arrive when they arrive, lead times slip, no one cares - all a shambles.redrumchoy wrote:Wanted to exchange my 2668G2U because of one dead pixel.... sent it through ups to their depot got there in 3 days... i called Customer SErvice to check on it... guy told me i'd have to wait about 2 weeks because the unit was backordered... next day it arrived on my frontsteps!

Out of curiosity, have you noticed any difference in the build quality in the new machine, i.e. do the palm rests still flex slightly at the outer edges?
I assume the fan still performs in the same manner....

Actually, I'm very happy with the IBM service here in DK. Had trouble with my keyboard, making squeeky sounds during typing. A technician came after a couple of hours and replaced it.Steve007 wrote:I'm guessing you're based in North America? My CD-RW/DVD drive had some periodic read/write failures. A brand new one came the next day in the mail.
No problems what so ever. Actually, one of the reasons I'm going to hang on to IBM, is the great service.

Looks like Leveno is going to carry on with outstading service. What other computer MFG would do this. One of the reasons I get nothing but a ThinkPad!
