FS: Last W700 + parts (fx3700m, mobo, CPU)

#1 Post by wujstefan » Thu Dec 20, 2018 11:33 am

Couple of systems for sale!

R600, T601 and T61p system has been described here: viewtopic.php?f=29&t=127500.

T601

Specs proposed - always could discuss for upgrade, but I excluded parts that are expensive in Poland and may be bought cheap elsewhere:
CPU: T9300
RAM: none (or 2x1Gb for testing)
SSD/HDD: none, but tray and basket are in there
Display: UXGA LED from Hydis, new albeit with two stuck pixels. I do not care about them as they do not disturb me much. Never tried to fix them as well.
Penryn-native nvs140m board pulled from 08/08 system. The chip itself has a build datecode 0808, but AFAIR it did not matter as it was the system build date that made the difference. The board is FSB-modded with mod ready to be enabled - the switch is under the WWAN card slot. It will be turned OFF upon shipping.
No keyboard / poor keyboard
No PSU or battery.
Middleton-loaded with 0.95V. Works stably, and even allows for reasonable overclock still maintaining stability as far as I have tested it.

So generally a ready-built system with easily-accessable parts missing :) I'm not including a keyboard since how many users that many preferences :) I can include a test-me keyboard in poor shape for free. Reconfiguration is possible.

Asking $330 SOLD + shipping as-is. Ask for shipping costs, but they are pretty reasonable worldwide.

T61p #1

Maxed T61p, built out of several units for best shape.
LCD: super-bright WUXGA; flawless as far as I see.
RAM: 8Gb
SSD: 256Gb
DVD-RW
CPU: X9000; accepts great deal of undervolting
fx570m with no signs of any failures
US NMB keyboard
Generic battery with ~100% charge
Bluetooth
90W PSU

Great shape as well; built it just for the joy of building. Graphics overclocks on stock voltage drastically, with ~6200 3dMark 06 points vs ~4500 points when not overclocked. Great system really. I could get used to 16:10 with this screen. There is very little play on the hinges. Can reconfigure as well since RAM is very expensive in Poland.

Asking $380 SOLD + shipping. Ask for shipping costs.

T61p #2

A leftover T61p :)
LCD: Nice WUXGA. I thought it is very bright until I have compared it to the first one. Has some minor flaws, almost invisible when on.
RAM: None / some small amount
HDD: None / a small one
DVD-RW
CPU: T8300
fx570m with no signs of any failures
Some European-layout keyboard in nice shape
Bluetooth
no PSU or battery

This is the second one I have built (out of 5 units I was able to get), so the shape is very reasonable. A good workhorse to-go.

Asking $120SOLD + shipping. Ask for shipping costs.

W700 #1
Based on Type 2758-MQG. It has P9500 + 4gigs of RAM and 320Gb HDD, WUXGA display with some minor blemishes, fx2700M, Combo drive. Numpad in great shape, colorimeter, camera, fingerprint is there. HDD cover is missing, but they are like $3 on ebay so no big deal. Battery is dead. Minor chip in the palmrest plastics. Fantastically strong hinges for 17". New sweddish keyboard. Very good lid shape, I'd say close to exceptional. The system has some kind of issue - even with no battery installed it drops "critical low battery" error, and has some problems with startup.
I'd ask $250 SOLD for it.
W700 #2
Based on Type 2758-FGG, but definietely rebuilt (as this model should be DS and it is not :)) T9600 + 4gigs of RAM + 500Gb HDD, Great WUXGA with no major blemishes as far as I can see, very good plastics shape, fx2700m, combo drive, great shaped keyboards (both), very strong hinges and very little scratches on the lid. Collorimeter, camera and bluetooth are there as well. Battery holds some charge.
$500 SOLD $380 for this one.
W700 #3
Based on 2758-75G. Q9100 + 4Gb RAM + no HDD + fx3700m. WUXGA, very bright for CCFL and almost spotless, WACOM digitizer with pen, great shaped plastics, keyboards and lid/hinges, camera, colorimeter, BLU-RAY DVD drive, battery holds a charge as well.
$450 for the last one.

W700 #4
P8400 + 4Gb RAM + no HDD + fx2700m. WUXGA, WACOM digitizer - no pen, EU-layout keyboard, well shaped lid/hinges, camera, colorimeter, DVD drive, generic battery holds a charge. A HP-modified PSU. I got it this way, dusted it and would like to sell as-is. Too much work with W700 already.
$200
W700 #5
T9600 + 4Gb RAM + no HDD + fx2700m. Nice WUXGA, WACOM digitizer + pen, nice keyboard, well shaped lid/hinges, camera, colorimeter, DVD-RW drive, genuine battery holds a charge. No PSU. This one is a nicely-shaped one.
$300
W700 #6
Q9100 + 8Gb RAM + 256GbSSD + 1TbHDD + fx2700m. Nice WUXGA, no-wacom palmrest, nice keyboard, well shaped lid/hinges, camera, colorimeter, DVD-RW drive, genuine battery holds a charge. 170W genuine PSU. This one is licked clean.
$550

Parts:
- T61p 15,4" heatsink - 5$ a piece SOLD
- WUXGA from T61p, bright with minor flaws - $15 a piece
- WUXGA from W700 + lid; hinges and top nice shaped, screen itself has some flaws but works 100% allright - $30
- fx3700m from a working W700, 100% tested working - $150
- QX9300 CPU from W700, 100% tested working - $90
- Core 2 Extreme heatsink / fan for W700 - $25
- fx3700m enhanced heatsink / fan for W700 - $25

Slightly brighter spots on the very edge of the screen. I need to concentrate on them a bit to see them tho; impossible to catch on a picture. And I am picky.
