Re: Firefox will become the only safe browser on Windows 10
I've been on a Chromium-based browser for a while now: Slimjet
Don't have any W10.
In all my W7 installations I had dumped Internet Explorer for Pale Moon, which I'm now replacing with the much faster Slimjet.
I would recommend their 32-bit version, even if your OS is 64-bit.
Only thing I don't appreciate: the tabs are above the URL-window, which cannot (yet) be changed.
Personally I'd have Pale Moon or Slimjet, rather than Firefox. YMMV.

Lovely day for a Guinness! (the Real Black Stuff). And pigs CAN fly!

The only glitch I've seen so far using Slimjet is that sometimes a right-click does not always open the menu window. Sometimes it takes four to six clicks to get the browser to open the box.

Will Microsoft’s decision make it harder for Firefox to prosper? It could. Making Google more powerful is risky on many fronts. And a big part of the answer depends on what the web developers and businesses who create services and websites do. If one product like Chromium has enough market share, then it becomes easier for web developers and businesses to decide not to worry if their services and sites work with anything other than Chromium. That’s what happened when Microsoft had a monopoly on browsers in the early 2000s before Firefox was released. And it could happen again.

It already is happening again. It may get worse. If one product like Chromium has enough market share, then it becomes easier for web developers and businesses to decide not to worry if their services and sites work with anything other than Chromium.
