Bought a Dead X1C1 for $18

It doesn't boot, but I do get a Green Light when I plug it in. What might it's problem be? I haven't taken it apart yet.

Replace the Mobo and call it a day.
Thinkpad4by3's Law of the Universe.

The efficiency of two screens equally sized with equal numbers if pixels are equal. The time spent by a 4:3 user complaining about 16:9 is proportional to the inefficiency working with a 16:9 display, therefore the amount of useful work extracted is equal.

That, I am doing. And the damaged AC Port, which probably was responsible for the original board dying.

Since RAM is soldered on that mobo, get one with 8GB.

Yeah- kinda odd how a board with 8GB soldered is worth as much as a 8GB Stick itself.
