#1 Post by Skywing » Tue Jun 22, 2004 8:24 pm

i took a bunch of pics of my 3VU today, i would like to post them here but i have nowhere to host them, i already have them uploaded to a private uploader but it wont allow hotlinking from unkown sites, does anyone have a place to upload about 3-4MB of pics so i can post links here?

I have plenty of webspace and bandwidth. The best thing to be would be email them to me and I'll upload them and post the links here.

My email address is adam at student hypen computers dot com (at hypen and dot are the symbols ;-))

The images can be found at:

www.yumesorah.com/thinkpad

The site is a site I made for fellow students in my university (since graduated) to rate professors, upload notes and old exams. Needless to say, not all the professors like me, but the computer science ones thought it was pretty cool ;-)

so, the T42 14" is just like the T41's?

BTW, some notes on my past 5 T41p's within the past 1 month.

None had any dead pixels. Two had the matte finish near the power/sound buttons. Three had the older glossy finish. I like the glossy finish better. Two of the three had the bright LCD display viewable from many different angles. While the other 3 had an inferior display. So, I guess IDTech is still making some LCDs.

The one that I received yesterday is a keeper. Glossy finish and a bright screen. Just a buldge in the CD drive bay, but they all had it. The others went back to IBM. Call me OCD.

Admsteiner,
Any chance you could post a picture of the back while closed? And a 2nd closeup near the parallel port connector? I would like to see if this has any hint of the assembly problem that both of my 2378-fvu's had.

Thanks!
