just wondering how the power manager from IBM and the one built into XP interrelate on a t43? I've noticed that if I look at power options from Windows control panel, I see, and can apparently select power schemes from both utilities. However, when I bring up the IBM power manager, I only see its own schemes. Are both these utilities active and interchangeable? In other words, if I'm using the "ThinkPad default" scheme and then go into windows power options and select "always on" what exactly happens? Does the IBM power manager step aside in favor of the Windows one until an IBM scheme is again used?
Also, has anyone tinkered with removing the IBM one and just using the one from Windows? how would this effect over all battery life?
Thanks,
