Jumpstart a Thinkpad.

#1 Post by Thinkpad4by3 » Thu May 16, 2019 6:28 pm

I decided just out of nowhere that I may as well try and start my TP 755C with a 12V battery because well it was completely dead, so what is the worst I could do. I hooked it up and what do you know, it fired right up. Then I plugged it back into the wall and guess what, it also fired right up.

tl;dr: hook up a battery to a TP battery pins to bring it back to life.

Thinkpad4by3's Law of the Universe.

The efficiency of two screens equally sized with equal numbers if pixels are equal. The time spent by a 4:3 user complaining about 16:9 is proportional to the inefficiency working with a 16:9 display, therefore the amount of useful work extracted is equal.

It's a testament to the longevity of ThinkPads!

By the way, how on earth did you get your hands on such an ancient ThinkPad?

It must have been passed on to you from your great great great grandfather ;)
