X200 boot slooooow
My wife's laptop is so slow to start. During boot, the following is displayed:
PXE E05: The LAN adapter's NVM configuration is corupted or
initialized. The Boot Agent cannot continue.
And eventually Windows 7 boots!
Regards
Mike

After the sequence "PXE E05: The LAN adapter's NVM configuration is corrupted or initialized. The Boot Agent cannot continue."
ESC key seems to have no effect. The sequence completes 2 or 3 times, then a script rolls upward, so fast it is impossible to read. Then Windows starts, or the sequence repeats again. Windows eventually starts. It may crash at some time, and restart.

Disable LAN in BIOS and report back.

Re: X200 boot slooooow
Well, that's your culprit right there. Something got corrupted - possibly on the BIOS level - and messed the machine up.
Personally, I'd just live with it. Get an external LAN card if you need the wired connectivity and call it a day.

Re: X200 boot slooooow
Hey there - you might check out https://libreboot.org/
Librebooting your thinkpad (which replaces the proprietary BIOS with free software) makes it boot significantly faster.
Libreboot also has the advantage of getting rid of the Intel Management Engine (which has the power to function as spyware and a backdoor to your computer).
Good luck!
