T580 WWAN slot for SSD

#1 Post by afancorp » Wed Jul 17, 2019 7:53 pm

I figured this is a pretty common question and I've seen a lot of threads successfully installing an SSD in place of the WWAN card but I have not been able to get this up and running. Is there a specific procedure to install the SSD?

The SSD in question is a Transcend 256GB, M.2 2242 MTS550T, SATA3, 3D TLC.

You need an M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD, not a SATA one.
Lovely day for a Guinness! (the Real Black Stuff). And pigs CAN fly!
