Can Rapid Restore Ultra 4 recover from a compressed volume?

In Windows, Rapid Restore will write a recovery set to a compressed volume. If I boot into the Rapid Restore Environment (Windows PE), can I recover the data?

A strange set of circumstances have led me to be unable to easily test this myself, so I'm hoping that someone else has tried.
