I'm thinking about getting one for my T30 to replace the stupid 2200BG that's given me much grief.
Thinkpad T43 2687-DTU: P-M 1.86GHz, Flexview LCD, CD-RW/DVD, Intel 802.11abg, Bluetooth, 1Gb Ethernet, Fingerprint Reader, 9c Li-Ion batt, WinXP Pro ------ my additions: 60GB 7200rpm travelstar, 1GB RAM

generally, the bios will check for an ibm card and will halt when/if it finds a non-supported device (wifi card in this case)..
probably because they are all FCC type approved for "that particular device/thinkpad combination" and not approved for non ibm parts..
