The frustrating thing is that James is right, that IS a good price in terms of the current market value. But it still seems crazy to me! I've resigned myself to sticking with the cheaper 750MHz or 800MHz upgrades on my 600X machines instead.

It's too expensive.It is about $70 here.

I'm also looking for a 850mhz mmc-2 in germany... thinking, a complete machine with broken cover/display... may be cheeper.

but which machines contains this cpu?

One on eBay UK for £19.75 or just under $40. I've noticed that these MMC-2 cpu cards seem to be cheaper on eBay UK, though of course not as commonly available as on eBay in the US
