T601 mute key issue

I recently built another T601, and installed my usual drivers (running windows 7 ultimate x64). These include power manager, hotkeys, nVidia drivers, bluetooth drivers (running a bluetooth 4 card, standard for **30s), and the sound driver. Everything else is automatically found by windows. For whatever reason, my mute key wont work. Ive tried switching out the keyboard, still nothing. It works fine on my other T601s, T60s, and T61s running Windows 7 with the same driver (presumably, unless lenovo changed them at some point). The volume keys work fine, as do all of the FN key shortcuts, but for whatever reason the mute key wont.

Has anyone had this issue, and does anyone know how to fix it?

tl;dr: Mute key wont work, while volume keys do, driver reinstall didnt help, T601 w/ FX 570m board 14.1

Maybe the key itself is busted? Have you tried a different keyboard?

As stated, I switched the keyboard, and tried a keyboard from another system. Nothing.

Today, when I started the machine, it was working. After an update, it stopped again. Rebooting fixed it. There is surely something screwy with the drivers.

I encountered this with a T400 and Windows 7. I think it's to do with the Hotkey Features driver. I don't have that laptop anymore to mess with it unfortunately.

Just fixed it. If you install the hotkey driver for the T60 it works, but it seems the driver for the T61 is somehow broken. (drivers sourced through lenovo)

Good to know. I just picked up a T61, and I am going to upgrade my son...
