#1 Post by skibum1981 » Wed Jul 06, 2005 4:05 pm

I don't have any 3dmark01's, but I have 3dmark03's and 3dmark05's with the stock IBM driver and Omega drivers.

stock ibm driver, 1024, No AA
3dmark03 - 3154
3dmark05 - 1247

omega 2.6.25a, 1024, No AA
3dmark03 - 3388
3dmark05 - 1449

pcmark04: 4177.
cpu: 4111, memory: 3470, graphics: 2533, hdd: 3733.

My model is the 2668-G2U with the FireGL v3200.

Thanks for the benchmarks. Is there any way, for the sake of comparison, that you could run an '01?

Yea, sure. Give me an hour (and if it's not posted in an hour, later tonight; have a group project I need to do).

stock ibm driver, 1024, No AA
3dmark2001se (build 330) - 11675

Unfortunately I don't really want to re-install the omega driver because it totally messed up OpenGL, which I need. If I ever do try the Omega driver again, I'll re-run the bench.

Alright thanks so much Roast! Good to see how the "p" model stacks up...

Something looks rigged there
No way GMA can surpass an X300 with 64MB of dedicated RAM... I think 3dMark01 creators were payed by Dell *Cough*

Can someone please do a 3Dmark01 of the T43 w/ the x300? I am quite a bit disturbed by Laptop Magazine's results ... I would imagine the T43 x300 could do better than that!

Blantant lies of the 3rd kind! I think Dell payed them to fix that benchmark number

T43 2687DDU on 1400x1050/Highest detail, no AA/AF Edit - Stock driver as well
5043 3dmarks

Custom built high end gaming desktop (Sapphire X800 Pro overclocked, Athlon +3200 939, ASUS A8V Deluxe, Crucial Ballistix high end DDR modules, 512x2mb (1024MB), etc)
21806 3dmarks

My TP got a score better than my older
Pentium 4/2.66GHz, Ge Force 3 Ti500, unknown model iWill mobo, 256x4 RDRAM Modules at 533MHz
3507 3dmarks

PS, that XPS Gen 2 =
CPU = Slightly "faster" (Slightly) vs my T43, comparablity slower than my desktop
Go 6800 Ultra = Actually equivlent to 6600GT underclocked in a desktop
PS, 512MB of ram on my T43... Sooo it ranks correct here.. I think someone lied on hose benchmarks to a new level of lying. *Cough hack cough*

Shows you what Dell does.

It could have simply been a typo. An x300, though not a great chip, should outperform integrated graphics...

Oh yea, I forgot that all my tests on my T43p was performed at the normal factory clock of 400MHz GPU/250MHz Memory. No overclocking over here, just underclocking when I'm not playing a game. =)

Appears to be a rather low score on the t43. Any comments on game play with a t43 or t43P? Bench marks are nice but may not make up not the whole story. I would like to know before buying a IBM t43 that it can effectively run a game. I do wish they would have add offered an upgrade on the 64 x300 to the 125 x300card. Geez

Radeon 7500

Has anyone tried 3DMark01 on the Radeon 7500 32 MB (T42). Or does the test work on it? I'm kind of curious...maybe I'll try it myself later.

7500 Test Results

Yeah you're right. I've tried it and got 3877. I guess that's comparable to GMA 900. Quite surprised, considering it's a pretty old GPU.
