any flat panel work with vga?

#1 Post by erb » Wed Jul 06, 2005 8:15 pm

Hey there,
I've been slightly put off buying a thinkpad lately as I've been reading of such poor results connecting via the vga out of the thinkpad T series.
Seems most go for the port rep/minidock/dock II option to achieve the super high res 21" flat panel moniter option.
I myself don't need the super high res but decent quaility flat panel (from what I read in here the laptop vga comes out fuzzy prolly due to the analogue signal being in close proximity to electrical components)
Anyone had good experieces with a flat panel connected to the onboard vga.
if so which make and model panel.
cheers v much

General questions should go in the general forum... :)

Most flat panels will have a vga adaptor so you can use them with computers that lack DVI.

You say VGA but is that really what you mean? I bought a refurb T23 with a 14" 1024x768 deep color screen which I consider superb even for working with photos from my digital camera. I suspect that most of the complaints are for folk who are seriously in to games - I'm not.

I take it you missed the first sentence.
