770ED & 192 Error

#1 Post by LyonAdmiral1981 » Wed Jan 15, 2020 8:26 pm

Good Evening (or whatever time of the day it is when you are reading this)

According to the HMM 00192 is a CMOS battery error/failure. I've replaced the battery with a brand new CR2032 (Energizer).

Upon a cold boot the system doesn't indicate the failure, it only indicates the failure during a warm reboot. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Daniel

192 is not a CMOS error, it is a fan error which may be produced by a bad CMOS battery, so it looks like it is the fan this time.

Thanks for letting me know. It's pops up erratically though.

Usually it's just a matter of going in and cleaning it.
