Dothan P-M to appear on R series?

#1 Post by flake » Wed Jun 23, 2004 12:13 pm

I just saw new lower freq. 90nm Pentium-M's are to be released by Intel [1] at 1.5 and 1.6 Ghz (715,725). Will anyone speculate that these will become available on the R-series?

Yes, they're available now. In Malaysia there are two R51 models with the 715 processor currently available, a 14.1" and 15" model. The latest T42s also ship with them.

Over here, at least, their other specs appear to be identical to their Banias P-M counterparts.

There are a number of new R51's and R50e's with the new Dothan and updated-Banias Pentium M's and Celeron M's. Available processors include the Pentium M 705 (1.5ghz 1mb), 715 (1.5ghz 2mb), 725 (1.6ghz 2mb), and 735 (1.7ghz 2mb) and the Celeron M 320 (1.3ghz 512k), 340 (1.5ghz 512k), and 350 (1.3ghz 1mb). Check the latest TABOOK for a list:
