problems:
1) keyboard-feel dissapointment:
Its keyboard wasn't exactly what I expected..doesn't feel much different from keyboard on cheap Dells. What's going on? ah...I have the Chicony keyboard...sucks..so I first called tech support who told me right off the bat that I need to talk to my sale rep since it's been less than a week from receipt of the laptop. The sale rep told me that nothing he can do and told me to call a tech support. called the tech support again and was greeted by a rather rude and obtuse rep and was told nothing he can do...after long argument he agreed to send a NMB keyboard but said I may be billed after sending my original keyboard back....???? complete non-sense...why would I send my original keyboard back and pay for the new one?? but he said I may not have to pay for it if they don't catch the difference between my original keyboard (chicony) and the new one(nmb)..so just waiting to see what happened.
2) fan on all the time:
This is really annoying....I understand this was discussed many times before..but never really read about a solution...is there one?
3) support:
Being a first IBM buyer, I heard many good things about IBM's support..but from what I've experienced so far..they are no different than other ones from other company...just shifting the tickets around saying "nothing I can do"
I am just waiting for the new keyboard to arrive and hopefully find a solution to the fan problem...
Feel free to comment on your experience with ibm's support and problems listed above.
thanks
