X31 and thinkpad dock 2631 problems.

I have got a x31 2673-8g1 and have recently bought a thinkpad dock 2631 (about 25euros secondhand). It seems to have some problems.

The ports seem to work ok, as far as i've checked. But when i start the laptop, when it's docked, the bios gives me a warning about resource conflicts between my minipci wifi Cisco-Airo card and something called "serial bus", and it hangs. When i try to access the bios setups when docked, the machine will hang when i press F1 after pressing access IBM button.

Had someone run into such problems before? what should i do? claim that the dock is broken, or fidget with my lappy?

The main reason i've bought the dock is to be able to boot of the ultrabay 2000, but with that sort of problems i'm completely unable to do that.

The dock seem to work perfect when i plug the X31 into it after the system has been booted.

Another funny thing -- i'm running linux, and when i list my pci devices, i see information about a firewire controller beeing ready to use. Hey, there isn't any firewire port on the 2631, or is it? THERE IS. Beside the usb ports there is a small black cover that covers the firewire port...
