Is there a DVD Burner for the 770

#1 Post by KartRacer32 » Fri Jul 08, 2005 10:23 am

Ok guys, I'm a fairly new owner of an older Thinkpad 770 model 9549. I've searched for a while, but am unable to find a burner for my thinkpad. Any suggestions or help you guys could offer would be very appreciative. I hope there's and internal burner, but I read all about the externals...

Thanks in advance,
Not yet familar with my 770 :?

no..
and i would worry about winding up with a lot of expensive drink coasters when using an external DVD writer on a 770..

uhmm.. WHICH 770 model..?
770X and 770Z are much superior to the 770 and 770E series..

Bill thanks for responding.
Heres what i can tell you about my system.
TP770 model 9549, Intel Pentium 82439TX, 256MB RAM(261568KB), running Win98SE... I guessing it's P-I. TP 770 not x, or ex, or z... Wife has an EX.
You said not to try an external, just curious as to why, is it not at all comaptible?

My T23 has a hard time doing anything else while buring a DVD. I have a NEC-6500A, and this sucker is fast....but I don't even connect it to a network while burning....I turn off the screensaver, set it to burn....and let it go. I'm pretty sure I'm pushing my t23 to it's limits.....
