600X Recovery CDs backwards compatible with 600E?

Does anyone know if the 600X Recovery CDs are backwards compatible with the 600E? Thanks in advance.

After you've run the recovery CDs, download and install the software updater. Reboot the system and then let the updater download and install anything the 600E needs.
