14" SVGA screen

#1 Post by aamadi » Sat Jul 09, 2005 3:44 pm

I want to purchase a 14" SVGA T43, but was wondering how bright the display is. When watching DVDs, are some of the sceens too dark? I know there's the flexview option, but I don't want a bigger laptop. Also does anyone know if any of the 14" T43s come with bluetooth? Thanks for your help.

mine came with Bluetooth.
IMO the screen is bright ! when i'm looking on the same pictures that i use to look on my 19" CRT desktop they look way brighter now.
i think the screen is one of the strongest points of this TP.

Even with the same series, same model, LCD panels from different manufacturers can be used. This is not limited to thinkpads. Some T43 has a great screen doesn't mean all T43s have the same.

That said, the two SXGA+, one XGA 14.1" I've seen on T42/41 and T40 were somewhat dimmer than matte LCDs on a Toshiba and a Sony S series xbrite. At max brightness indoor, the SXGA+ on my T42 is far dimmer than the matte screen on panasonic T2 I owned before.
