Presentation Director and wireless radio questions

#1 Post by tdog » Tue Jul 12, 2005 1:21 pm

Hello,

I have a couple of questions regarding software on our T42p/X40 units:

1. We'd like to have the wireless radio OFF at each bootup, regardless of whether the user turns it on (Fn+F5) during the Windows session. Is it possible to do this? We do not want to disable the card in BIOS or via Device Manager.

2. Using Presentation Director 2.34, when a user selects the standard display scheme "Presentation on Projector and ThinkPad (XGA 1024x768)" on the T42p, the external display looks great but the LCD desktop display is "shrunk" with thick black bands around it! Is there a way to get rid of those black bands without creating a new custom scheme or using the "Dual Display XGA" scheme?

Thanks for your help!
cheers /td

On my T-42 I just turn it off with Fn + F5, and it stays off until I turn it on again - even if I reboot.

GJ,
That is correct but if the user turnn the radio on, it stays on till they turn it off, even if they reboot the system. We'd like to have it turned off at Windows boot all the time, and if the user turns it on after that it's OK but it won't stay on after a reboot.
cheers /td
