Hello all.
My first post. I've just bought a 2nd HDD adapter for my T30 and a drive to put in it. When I push the adapter into place the drive clicks away noisily for a few minutes and then stops. I can't see any sign of the drive under 'my computer'. Should I be doing something else or should it be recognized automatically?
Thanks
Jon
Installing T30 2nd HDD
Assuming the drive is inserted correctly into the Ultrabay 2000 adapter and locked down with the little bar at the bottom, the drive should be recognized after the adapter is inserted.
If using Windows, it will take a little longer the first time, but you should see the drive under My Computer as soon as it's recognized.
(When you look a the drive in the adapter, the label should be face up for the pins to align correctly. Not sure it's even possible to plug it in if the drive is electronics side up, but make sure that's not your problem).
