Link to old forum in this forum's Index page?

It would be really convenient to have a link to the old forum on this forum's Index page. Label the link "Archive" so that new users will understand why it's there.

To anyone who knows how to add a parrot with phpBB it's a relatively easy change to make

its not a parrot, its a colorful toucan wearing a crown..
its the logo for an olde english pub, the beak and crown..

a place of big overstuffed chairs, roaring fireplaces on cold evenings and so forth..

getting it there was pure good luck..

when i find an editor for whatever this is written in, i'll put a link to the old open forum..

Sorry about misnaming your bird Bill. I didn't mean to disparage it.

As for adding the link, you could put it under the toucan as a text link. Just use any text editor, even Notepad, to edit the file overall_header.tpl in your phpBB\subSilver\templates directory and add a standard HTML <A HREF=""> in the same table cell.

For example, your current file now has this:

Replace it with this:

Instead if you prefer, you could add Archive to the list of functions in the center of the forum header, e.g.

FAQ Search Memberlist Usergroups Archive
Profile You have no new messages Log out [ username ]

using a similar edit plus a suitable mini icon.
