WTB 1.0 ghz for T22 - where?

#1 Post by Nolonemo » Thu Jul 14, 2005 3:17 pm

If I could find a cheap $20?) 1.0 ghz CPU for my T22 I'd pop it in for the marginal speed increase I'd get. Anyone know where to look for these and what the market rate for them is? I don't see any on eBay whenever I check in (well, there's one today, but it's the first one I've seen).

I did that to my T21 a while ago. I purchased it on Ebay. I forgot what's the exact model of that PGA2 CPU.

Good luck....The only ones I see on Ebay are the 133mhz variety....Tell me if you do find one.......Mine is 900mhz and I'm thinking about a possible upgrade, though mine works fine.....Good Luck

I think what I am looking for is a SL5TF, is that right?

SL5TF Looks right from the specs:

SL5TF 1 GHz 100 MHz 0.18 micron PD0 256 KB Micro-PGA2

Web site for Intel PIII M Specs:

http://cpu-world.com/sspec/Mobile%20Pentium%20III.html

I bid on a PIII M 850 SL4AG BGA2 by mistake. It was too late to retract my bid. It was cheap so I'm stuck with it now.

Moral: read eBay specs carefully.

It also looks like the SL53S would work. As far as I can see, the only difference is that the thermal spec on the SL53S is 100C and that on the SL5TF is 92C. There are quite a few of the SL53S on ebay, as it turns out (well, four of them).
