How is Bluetooth Implemented on a T30? *2nd Update*

#1 Post by chrison600 » Sun Jul 17, 2005 1:01 pm

Hi all,

How is Bluetooth implemented as a standard feature of a T Series? Is it a motherboard change? Daughterboard? Where is the daughterboard added? The mini-PCI slot? Can a T30 be upgraded with Bluetooth and not affect wireless capabilities via the mini-PCI slot?

Thanks,

Chris

Update: I see two daughter boards offered for a T30 on the IBM parts site, one for Bluetooth and one for modem. Are there two daughterboard slots?

Parts list

Modem daughterboard: 26P8256

Bluetooth daughterboard: 12P3872

2nd Update: OK, I'm assuming there is only one daughterboard slot. I found a combination modem/Bluetooth card for an X30/31. IBM P/N 91P7315. An eBay vendor and a parts site (acsparts.com) lists it as compatible with a T series.

Anyone know if this is indeed compatible with a T series/T30?

Chris
