You see this topic I'm excessively flamed for buying "insuperior overpriced ****"
Anyone like to register and back me up (Since they get to have their friend/fellow users to help)

Ask some of those folks on that board how long those laptops normally last. Then you can have them look at the legacy hardware forum in this messageboard so they can see how much longer a ThinkPad lasts. If you look around, I think there's even been a few 755 users that have passed through there.

Oh yeah, you can also mention the average weight and average batterylife on a new T or R series ThinkPad then compare that to their machines.

I feel like joining there just to get back at them! I am very outraged and anybody who messes around with the ThinkPad brand or IBM's and I find out about it, will have to deal with me and you don't want to mess around with me!

But beware - This forum has a bias to "ULTRA GAMING ZERO BATTERY" systems

OK, I've asked this before. Why do you care what other people think? Can you not make your own choices and simply go on with your life? That would be the mature thing to do. Getting into a flame war with someone else over their choice is... not.

Gotta agree with nonny On this one......Of course proving 12 year olds wrong is a favorite passtime of mine. (I play counterstrike source....the horror!!) If they want to bump heads a little....no problem, just don't bring it over to this forum.....I use it for tech support

agreed. in my class, i'm the only one with a thinkpad (the rest have retard-designer laptops like vaios or flashy widescreen acers... bluh). they're always on my case that ibm laptops look dull, boring, and are waaaay overpriced. well. each time their crappy plastic laptop casing breaks (AGAIN), they wait 2+ weeks to have it replaced, and i always get a good laugh :p

leave them be. YOU're the one with a quality computer :p

You know, when you really think about it, when someone tries to engage a fight because their computer is "superior", well, it doesn't matter if it's win or lose, it's still retarded and nerdy. When the only thing you have left to make you look better than others is a stupid computer, well, you've just hit rock bottom of the social ladder. If I ever encounter someone who tries insulting me over using an old "inferior" computer, I'll just reply with something in the lines of "at least I have a life" or "at least my best friend doesn't require a keyboard, mouse and monitor" or something like that.

Just picture some pimply faced pencil neck geek on the street facing off with some person who doesn't even have to be that big, the nerd going in his high pitched droning voice "my laptop's better than yours" while the normal guys holding a fist to him. Who do you think has the better attack and who looks better?
