How to adjust contrast on X21?

#1 Post by johniemi » Wed Jul 20, 2005 11:15 am

I found the brightness control thru the Fn+Home/End -keys but is there a way to adjust contrast on my thinkpad?

Simple answer John - there is no 'contrast' control. Brightness only, that's your lot.

Out of interest, why do you feel the need for one? If your screen appears faded it may be that the LCD invertor or backlight are feeling the test of time and could do with replacing!!

Have you installed the color profile for the LCD yet? If not, try that...

Also, JonathanW is right - there's no mention of a contrast control in the Access ThinkPad thingy on here...

You might also try going to the ATI Color tab in the advanced settings on the display, and messing with the curves. Be careful, though, or it could get UGLY.
