Running programs with virtual CD??? X32 XP question

I have an X32 and usually don't carry a CD drive with me. What I would like to do is copy the contents of a CD over to my hard drive and set it up so that when the program that I'm running looks for the CD, I point it to this directory or virtual mounting point or ? where I copied the files to on my hard drive. Does anyone know how to do this in XP? I figure this will be easier than lugging a CD player along with me (not to mention the fact that I don't have a portable one right now).

While following the first link below earlier today, JHaislet mentioned that he uses a program called Alcohol 120%. I did a Google search on it, and from what I read, it does just what you are looking for. See links below:
