Transnote Folio Case & 14" T43

#1 Post by anthony » Thu Jul 21, 2005 12:23 am

I love this case. Will it fit the 14" T43 w/9 cell Battery? The case is the Transnote Folio Large. My T43 measures approx 10.75" x 12.25" x1.25" with the 9 cell extended life battery installed.

I have two of those portfolio cases, one for my Transnote that I liked so much, I got another for my T40, but which now holds my backup 14.1" display T41p.

There is a photo and a link entitled "A Review of the TransNote Folio
carry case"about 2/3 down the http://thinkpads.com/start.htm page. Click on the photo to get to the the folio case page. To the right is a "Click to Order" button which brings up the contact email to john donohue, the guy who is selling them. He got right back to me.

Says he still has a few, so good luck. :D

The case arrived two days ago. It is a delight. Tres thin, tres chic, and the unit fits very well.

But my favorite feature is the strap design. You can tell that it was designed by engineers and not luggage designers. It is the most comfortable shoulder strap I have ever seen. Makes the laptop seem half as light.

Hard to describe, but the leather strap is not continuous. It is joined to the shoulder pad that itself is a slightly stretchy neoprene like material with an incorporated elastic band. The material is padded, but not thick or bulky; about the padding of an athletic sock. But it is totally non-slip and conforms to the shape of your arm. The stretchy nature distributes the weight in some manner that makes the unit feels lighter.

Sorry to go on, but it is truly impressive. Traveling as much as I do, I've seen (and bought) all manner of comfort straps for carryons and computer cases. This is the best I've ever seen.

Does this case hold an AC Adapter?

I'm considering this one and the Powersleeve 14.

it COULD hold an AC adapter, but it would make a big bump in the slip pocket and push on the thinkpad..
so, the general answer is NO..

I've seen the pictures already on the start page but MORE PICS!!! What are those pictures on the bottom right of the bag/sleeve/case with the red sides?

The page is semi-broken so it's kind of unclear but it looks like the red bag pictured in the lower right is a larger nylonish one that he's also selling.
