I got told 2 months, it ended up coming in about 6 weeks. Although the delivery time they kept stating on their website would have been about 3 months.

Did they tell you that on the phone? I can't seem to get anything relatively concrete out of any of them.
I hope mine doesn't get delayed any more, I'm already goign to have to start school without it....

Same boat here, just ordered a T43 266872U with some accessories, the webpage esitmates a shipping date at Sept. 9th... just over 7 weeks... I would like to have it before i goto school. Im hoping they over esimate their shipping time

I am beginning to wonder if it is not best to purchase a machine from a reseller and pay a little more money.

I to placed an order for t43 and am being told two weeks delivery. I bet money I don't receive it in 2 weeks.

I am thinking of cancelling the order and buying from a reseller.

Can anyone recommend a good reseller with reasonable prices?

For my model (an many others) does it not say Availibility 2-4 Weeks** and in the fine print it says that means they should have it in their inventory within 2-4 weeks... and I paid extra for the 2 business day shipping, so at the latest i should be recieving it on August 19th.... why are they telling be september 9th?

Spoke with Bill, he cannot get any machines at the present time. He only has 43P'S in stock.

ya I ordered mine about 2 weeks ago and it still is sayig 2 weeks on expected delivery date.

If they dont get their act together and get parts in soon I think they may loose a lot of orders.

I just got off the phone with Lenovo and the guy I talked to said any laptop with a centrino is on back order right now. there is no comitted date from intel as to when the processors are comming in.

AFAK, the 75U was in stock and my order was shipped within 24 hours. You might want to ask the Rep to swich your order.

It's not that urgent, besides beggars can't be choosers, and Lenovo's actually replacing my T30 which I've sent to the depot multiple times with this T43. All I have to pay for is an extended warranty if I want it. I see it as trading my T30 and $200 for a top of the line T43.

The 75U is on backorder now..two weeks at least, they claim. I'm so jealous you got yours immediately, I wish I had ordered mine sooner.

you'll see that many people got estimate ship dates at much later dates than when they really receieve their computers. i was estimated to have a ship date of august 16th, because of a backorder on the high-capacity batteries, but my computer shipped last night.

i believe lenovo tries to keep their ship dates as vague and conservative as possible, as so not to anger anyone who will not get theirs when estimated.

hrm.. what model did you get eri7154798? I had a ship date of august 16th, that changed to "call" the other day, and the actual rep has been telling me "The holdup is the Intel chipsets, this machine (2687DSU) as I mentioned will probably not ship out until early to mid August," through both phone and email which makes for around 7weeks.
(I move in mid august and wont have an address, so i really wanted it earlier, but got them to ship it to a friends house instead )
