x230 running slowly after migration

Hi so after an accident I purchased a new x230 and switched out the hard drive and memory with my old ones, it's now running slowly, do i need to re-install windows and all the drivers? it's the same specs.

Could it be lacking the same BIOS updates as the one before?

When in doubt, monitor the CPU speed (check if it's somehow limited to low speeds) and temperatures (if it's overheating to the extent that the CPU is forced to throttle).
