[WTB] Physically broken but electrically OK KB

#1 Post by samveen » Tue Jan 03, 2023 11:56 pm

I'm looking to cannibalize the trackpoint components out of a ThinkPad Keyboard into my own small DIY travel KB, to get rid of the mouse from my travel kit. Anyone have a keyboard that's physically broken, but electrically OK that I can buy off them (or pay for shipping, for your generous giveaway)?

Hi I have a number of already cannibalised Thinkpad Tx10/Tx20 series keyboards with various sorts of liquid damage on them (seem very prone to liquid damage) that some columns of keys don't work but the trackpoint modules of them are all intact. I can maybe unscrew and desolder like two of those trackpoint modules and send them, just I am unsure if you'd accept the shipping costs of such an item from Canada, even when it's just the small modules themselves.

Hi kfzhu1229
I need two plastic power buttons for the Tx20 series keyboard. Just the little plastic button part.. Would you have some extras, by any chance? I'm willing to pay for them + shipping if you ask for it.
Best,
