Got a little more info? Hardware error, software error, what were you doing when you got the error?

It's one thing to be terse, but................

EDIT: OK, I see, you're still working on the cloning problem. I see 1810 on your previous post near the bottom of the page.

It is a POST error

In a previous post I mentioned it in regard to cloning and no one mentioned the error. I do know what the HMM states about the error.

I do not want to delete the HPA as everyone keeps saying,
I am using The Legal OEM IBM Preload of WinXP Pro and Office.
Which allows move drive to mulitple T40 shells without Deactivation of
Office or WinXP.

I am not a newbie I am a IBM Certified Tech. from prior posistion I am coming here because IBM/LEVENO is unable to answer the question:

What is the 1810 partition layout error triggered from ?

The Firstware/Predesktop Version in the HPA, the BIOS on the ThinkPad
or the firmware on the hardrive?

It is occuring when cloning to a larger size drive. Predesktop is intact and will load but halts boot with this error until you disable security for HPA.

I have not been able to find the answer on the IBMJapan website either where I find most answers we do not know here in US yet.

I find no refference to on the Pheonix BIOS website.

Thanks for the links but the error Is a Predesktop error and again setting it from normal to disabled the error stops and the sytem boots normal.

At this point I think it is a possible bug in the last embedded controller update
