What clock generator does the X20/21 use?

#1 Post by bhtooefr » Fri Jul 22, 2005 12:31 pm

I've got a ThinkPad X21, and I'd like to try some night overclocking (too hot during the day to try it).

It's got a 700MHz P3. I underclock during the day, but I'd like to make up for it by overclocking at night.

If I knew what clock generator it used, I could overclock it some - seeing as it's got a ZXM (mobile version of a budget version of the legendary BX) chipset and the module I've got in the SODIMM slot is a Kingston module (even though it says it's a Kahlon.com module on it...), it should be decent enough quality to take an overclock.

931MHz (7 * 133) wouldn't be bad at all, now, would it?

Alternately, if I could get it to hit 665 (5 * 133) at reduced voltage, that wouldn't be bad at all. That could even be a daytime speed...
Current: 365XD (120 MHz, 72 MiB, 6.4 GB, 4x CD-ROM, 10.4" TFT)
Past: T61p 15.0" QXGA, T60p 15.0" QXGA, X61 Tablet SXGA+, R51e 14.1" XGA, X21
