T43 ship times?

Hello all,

I ordered the 2687D3U on 7/8 and the rep told me it would take 2-3 weeks. The date kept changing, going all the way to 8/16, and now its back to the original timetable after I called Lenovo. They said they will ship it out on 7/29.

How long does the UPS usually take if I live in NJ? Where do they ship from?

I was very impressed with IBM's Free shipping, My T43 shipped from Hong Kong on the 18th, Was delayed by a cancelled flight out of Hong Kong and various customs when it made it way to Kentucky, and was at my doorstep in Atlanta, GA by 10:30 ON the 21st. I think that's pretty good!

See this thread on shipping. Agree that once it does finally ship, it will arrive very quickly. Takes forever to get out of Hong Kong, though.
