#1 Post by yuyunguo » Sat Jul 23, 2005 9:29 am

Hi, All,

I just got weird problem with Presentation Director. When I launch the Presentation director, the sign apear: OEMDSPIF.DLL can not be loaded. I uninstalled and reinstall the presentation director, the problem was still there. I checked OEMDSPIF.DLL, the file is there.

Anyone knows? Thanks in advance..

Hi yuyunguo,

I have the exact same problem, and have not resolved it. The OEMDSPIF.DLL file is part of the ATI video drivers. I've done a complete uninstall of the ATI drivers and installed the latest from the IBM/Lenovo website (Aug 2005), no luck.

On a possibly related note, does your Standby / Suspend, Hibernate work? When I try to suspend or hibernate I see a dialog "preparing to suspend", then the screen goes blank but the computer remains running. I have to hard boot to get it back.

Possibly an interaction between the ATI driver and the IBM power management driver? Have you installed the latest BIOS & chipset drivers? Are you running Win2k?

A colleage has the identical machine, his works fine since the latest BIOS update.

Hello,

That problem alloyed me a lot. I finally solved it. as you said, it is somehow ati driver does not work properly with the Presentation Director. I uninstall both the ati driver and Presentation Director, then install the latest updates from Levono. It works fine now.

Hope this helpful.

All the best
