Dual Display on T42 (Radeon 9600)

#1 Post by dclee012 » Sat Jul 23, 2005 12:51 pm

Hi,

I'm a bit confused about getting dual displays. My system is T42 with Radeon 9600 (64mb) running Win2k. (Driver v8.102.1)

This is what I want:
But this is what I have:
(Ignore the video card make and resolution -- I am refering to the option of primary/secondary displays)

The closest thing I can get to extending my screen space is using to ATI-Displays to turn on the dual setup. However, it locks both screens to 1400x1050 (native LCD) or 1600x1200 (for 19" monitor). In each case, the other display can't display everything and the unseen space can be viewed by pushing around with the mouse. This is the same case when I clone the screen to the external monitor.

I would like to have the dual montior view in the Display Properties / Settings, since that's what I've always used to manage dual monitor displays. Does anyone have this issue? Does the first image only exist in WinXP? Has anyone had success with HydraVision?

Thanks,

You might want to start the Thread that I started regarding Video Driver for T-40 since that is also Radeon 9600 and I have a similar problem.
