Can anyone verify IBM website glitch.....

A question for those who have beena round awhile......

I have been frequenting these forums trying to come to a decision on which laptop to purchase. In my search, I was browsing the education discounts for my state (Ohio) and oddly enough, the price that were quoted seem way too cheap. Also, the website sometimes shows the lower prices, sometimes not.......

For example:

2373-JTU comes up at around $1,600
2373-7FU comes up at around $1,400

These prices are almot 50% off their normal prices.

My question: Is this sort of thing common, and if I place an order at the lower prices, should I expect an email/call letting my know the order had to be cancelled due to the glitch?

I just got a t41 from the educational section for over 30% off...so I'd say go for it!

BTW, I think I read somwhere in the educational section that the saving are so high because of some educational promotion that ends with the month.

That is good to know.... I guess I might as well place the order. THe worse that can happen is that it would jsut get cancelled.

I just have to decide (in the case that it does go through ), between:

aprrox. $150 more for ibm wireless and 735 processor, or cheaper 1.6 processor with intee.coreless..... Is this a no brainer?

if you'll keep the laptop for a few years, it's a no brainier. with your discount in particular, go for the faster processor... the ibm wireless is better too...
