Any word on a T series with a P-M 780 and a 7K100?

Hi,

I currrently have a 2668G7U on order from IBM, with the ship time slippng into oblivion. When my laptop ships, it will be close to a month after my order. Currently, I am wondering if I am getting a bad deal because I am missing out on all of the new releases that occur in the month of August.

For example, Intel is slated to start shipping the Pentium M 780 2.26ghz this week. Seagate and Hitachi are both very close to shipping their 100gb 7200rpm drives.

At this point I am having second thoughts about IBM because of the high price and the delay in shipment. I am seriously contemplating ordering an Asus.

But, I do ultimately prefer the IBM's quality, but I wish it had a 7k100 and a P-M 780.

Any suggestions?

Yeah, your really going to notice the difference between 2.13 & 2.26Ghz with most applications...

The only reason I'd wait, is to see if your current model drops in price a couple hundred $$$ with the release of the 780.

Yeah, I don't really care about the extra 100 mhz, but an extra 40 gigs would be nice
