strange battery behavior

#1 Post by ot14 » Mon Jul 25, 2005 2:52 am

The batteries in my X32 do not start charging, unless they have about 70% or less left in them. When they do start charging they charge to 100% (The batteries and the X32 are new). Is this how they are supposed to operate, and if so, can I force the batteries to start charging?

I THINK that that's a setting.

Mine won't charge if it's above 95%, FWIW. I think that's designed so as to avoid screwing with the battery meter.

It's to do with the threshold setting. You can always adjust it.

I suspected that. But how can I adjust it or force charging? I looked everywhere, including all tabs, etc. in the "power manager", and I don't see this option.

Have you tried inserting your battery and double click on the battery tray? It will show you the battery threshold on when to start charging. When you see it, it's all self explanatory. Good luck. :P

This launches the Power Manager I already looked at. I don't see any options that specify when the battery is to commence charging.
