Network errors during install

#1 Post by whizkid » Mon Jul 25, 2005 11:52 am

Hey all, I'm trying to get Slackware running on my 750P again. Don't laugh! Well, don't laugh too hard.

I got through bare.i, install.1, install.2 and pcmcia diskettes, partitioning, formatting and mounting, and I even configured an NFS install.

However, once the install starts, it goes for a short while then I get a ton of "inconsistent data frame 0xd4" but not that exact message.

I have tried using "idebus=33" to adjust bus calculations, with no effect. My startup line is now "ramdisk floppy=thinkpad idebus=33 nousb noscsi nopci noacpi"

Pointers gratefully appreciated
