X1 Carbon replacement keyboard - stiff trackpad button

#1 Post by Thinkpad2024 » Fri Mar 29, 2024 11:07 am

I had a keyboard problem and replaced it. But the right trackpad button on the new keyboard is very stiff, making it difficult to use. Other than replacing the keyboard again, does anyone have any suggestions for fixing this problem? Or, if replacement is the only option, can someone recommend a reliable vendor?

Reliable vendor? Where did you get the replacement keyboard last time?

It sounds to me like a key is not seated properly. It's common with laptop keyboards. Just press it hard, sometimes it fixes it.
