Docks and Replicators

#1 Post by CaptainMorgan » Wed Jul 27, 2005 12:09 pm

Howdy, can you lead me to pictures of the three port replicators/docks IBM has available.. I looked at the site and I can't seem to navigate to a more thorough view of these specific products. Do you have one of these? Would you mind taking a pic of it, putting it in the pictures section or mailing one or two to me?

Basically I can't decide which to get and I feel a good pic or two may help.

Thanks

There are three solutions availiable.

1) the port replicator, a small docking station, does what it says, replicates ports from your thinkpad to the back of it... (ony has 1 USB tho) they come free as a bundle deal when you buy your laptop from IBM.

2) Mini Dock, a docking station, has 4 USB ports on the back, comes with an heavy-duty AC adaptor too! Also has Analog and Digital video outputs, also has PCMICA ports. its only 49$ as a bundle when you buy a T series.

3) Dock II, same as Mini Dock, but costs a hell of a lot more. Has an internal cooling fan, and supports a PCI card.

They are all explained very clearly on IBM's webpage!

Just click on See 3D Tour, and hit Docking!

uh, are you sure about the mini dock having the PCMICA port? Doesn't look like it has one to me.
