Thinkpad A30 Ultrabay 2000/Plus

#1 Post by Boricua65 » Wed Jul 27, 2005 6:18 pm

I'm looking for a 24x10x24x CDRW for the A30 I just recently acquired. Is there one that will fit this TP? The only ones I saw in IBM's parts list is an 8x CD write and a 4x CD write. The other ultrabay has a DVD-ROM, so I don't need a combo. TIA

The A30 will take any "standard" 12.5mm thick laptop burner.

Get whichever cranks your tractor and modify the faceplate to fit with a Dremel tool.

If the faceplate is not super thick, you can do the mod with a utility knife, cheaper than a Dremel if you don' t have one around.
