I'd rather they weren't there as well. A slim port expander which connects to the dock port on the bottom of the laptop could provide access to those ports for those who really need it. The rest of the world would probably rather have firewire and USB.

*points to his X21, and the UltraBase X2, which is kinda slim, and has parallel and serial ports that the X21 doesn't have*
